Partnership Centre in Gender Equality & Leadership Advancement
The Partnership Centre for Gender Equity and Leadership Advancement is a research and translation Centre with over 26 partners from government, healthcare industry, employer groups, training providers, academia and research.
The Monash University-led Centre is united in its purpose to accelerate gender equity, diversity and women in leadership in healthcare, health and medical sciences, nationally and internationally. It brings together thought leaders and experts in gender equity, implementation science, organisational change management, data analytics, evaluation and leadership development.
Through shared vision, values and aims, we work collaboratively to coproduce and deliver a suite of evidence-based interventions, implementation strategies and evaluations tailored for, and codesigned with, partners to drive gender equity and measurably accelerate women in healthcare leadership.
Collectively, we advocate for policies and practices that drive better, safer and inclusive workplaces and enable, empower and elevate women from across the diversity spectrum into leadership and decision-making roles, to improve organisational and system performance.
Hosted by the Monash Centre for Implementation and Health Research (MCHRI) and Monash University, The Centre integrates the Advancing Women in Healthcare Leadership (AWHL) – the national gender equity and diversity initiative for the healthcare and health and medical sciences – and the leading Women in Leadership (WIL) Program. It is closely affiliated with the Monash Gender Equity Alliance bringing and connecting leading experts from law, business, economics, gender-based violence, healthcare and health and medical sciences, ICT and engineering to drive and sustain measurable improvements in gender equity in workplaces.
Implementation & Impact
We are developing a wealth of knowledge around what works to achieve gender equity in leadership, see latest publications here . We are using this knowledge to design implement and evaluate initiatives, resources and toolkits that support our partners and the broader healthcare sector improve inequity in healthcare leadership.
