PCOS Community Champions and Coordinator 

We are seeking a team of champions with lived experience of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) to inform and enable community translation of the PCOS guideline and to engage in PCOS advocacy to improve care and outcomes for women with PCOS.  Time is remunerated and training is provided. No prior experience is needed other than lived experience of PCOS. 

Job Opportunity

We are seeking to appoint a PCOS Community Coordinator. The successful candidate will be passionate about improving the lives of those with PCOS, and eager to collaborate with experts to improve care. They will take a leadership role in developing a virtual community for individuals with PCOS, and will be interested in having input into social media materials to promote engagement.

Responsibilities:

  • Take a leadership role in developing a virtual community for individuals with PCOS.
  • Input into social media materials to promote engagement and interaction within the community.
  • Collaborate with experts to advance knowledge and awareness in PCOS.
  • Participate in training as necessary.
  • Facilitate engagement within the community, responding to inquiries and addressing concerns.
  • Work with community members to develop programming and events to support individuals with PCOS.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of PCOS research and treatments, and share relevant information with community members.

  • Coordinate with external organizations and partners to expand the reach of the community.

Requirements:

  • Lived experience of PCOS.

  • Passionate about improving the lives of those with PCOS.

  • Willingness to collaborate with experts to advance the evidence-base.

  • Keen to take a leadership role in developing a PCOS virtual community.

  • Interested in developing social media materials to promote engagement.

  • Open to training in advocacy, leadership, and optimizing engagement.

  • High level of self-motivation.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Able to work in Australia
