Biostatistics Consulting Service
All clinical staff employed by Monash Health at any campus of Monash Health are eligible to access the Biostatistical Consulting service at no cost for the initial consultation*.
About
The Biostatistical Consulting Service provides support in three main areas in the development, execution and reporting of clinical research studies and clinical audits:
- General advice on study design and grant writing
- Advice on statistical rigour and sample size
- Assistance with statistical analysis.
Monash Health and the Monash University’s, Monash Centre for Health Research and Implementation (MCHRI) have established a Biostatistical Consulting Service for Monash Health clinical staff and postgraduate students. The provision of biostatistical support to staff of Monash Health is part of the mutual benefits of our co-location within the Monash Health Translation Precinct based at Monash Medical Centre, Clayton.
To organise an initial consultation, the application form needs to be completed and co-signed by the relevant supervisor or Research Director. The completed form should be emailed to Joanne.enticott@monash.edu.
* The initial consultation with our biostatisticians will be conducted at MCHRI or on zoom, and statistical support totalling two hours will be provided. If additional advice or time is required, this can be provided at a quoted rate of $125 per hour (plus GST), charged to individuals or departments as appropriate.
Please note: costs for small projects are generally quoted up to $10,000; medium projects up to $25,000; large projects over $25,000.
